About The Beach
- The Beach was founded in October 1996 becoming only the second indoor tanning facility in Chelmsford along with Tahitian Tan (which closed in 2005)
Sold in October 2002 to current owners Jim & Kathy, making them Chelmsford's longest family owned & operated salon (6+ years)
Rejuvenated and revitalized the salon with a major renovation in 2005 which included a salon expansion (with additional 640 sq-ft) and adding new top of the line tanning equipment.
Multiple years of being an award winning tanning salon. (See our awards here)
November 2007, replaced all base beds with Ergoline Sundash Competition 232 (15-minute) units, thus completing our long-term goal of becoming an all Ergoline (for beds) and SunCapsule (for booths) tanning salon. Both are amongst the industry leaders.
February 2009, installed a Mystic Tan MyMyst Spray Tan Booth, offering the latest in advanced MagneTan technology.
